With patient satisfaction, comes employee satisfaction! As well as negative incidents, Radar Healthcare can be used to also track positive moments such as compliments to staff, and new qualifications of employees. On top of compliments, we can integrate clients’ patient satisfaction surveys from their website into the Radar Healthcare system to keep all input in one handy space. When using Radar Healthcare’s Action Plans module, improvements can be monitored and analysed in real-time, improving patient experiences and with that patient satisfaction levels too. For instance, you can assign tasks to people and pass that knowledge on through all locations within your business – or not if it isn’t relevant to certain areas. Lessons must be learned from negative incidents and events, and so our software has a dedicated feature to put steps in place when something goes wrong to rectify it. Radar Healthcare is used to not only track issues, but to also organise and launch action plans. Radar Healthcare is supporting organisations by transforming their use of multiple systems into using one consolidated, end-to-end solution, saving on costs and time spent training to use the various different applications.įurthermore, Radar Healthcare can be used as a tool to catch and identify risk, which in turn can inform where budgets need to be evaluated – e.g., maintenance budgets can be increased if data from Radar Healthcare suggests that renovations to rooms and fixtures are needed. This is causing a huge financial issue and when these adverse incidents arise, return on investment is of high importance. Lower costs for both the patient and providerĬlinical negligence is increasingly in the news due to the level of compensation claims being issued to the NHS after the COVID-19 pandemic. Radar Healthcare’s reporting and analytics tools can then show the results of those improvements in real-time. Having a centralised record of these events can support the allocation of resources and best practices to specific wards, rooms and at chosen times. ![]() Similarly, documenting excellence within Radar Healthcare is just as important – organisations benefit on knowing what goes right as well as what goes wrong. With our Events module, our partners can input information on healthcare errors to help identify trends in their workplace and inform decisions when improving processes and procedures. Higher quality of patient care, with improved outcomes Our software is developed with these four tenets in mind to offer quality solutions for all our clients. Radar Healthcare is a multi-purpose software to support the management of healthcare organisations, in both private and public sectors. It has been suggested that if healthcare organisations regularly adopted technology at the rate they did during the pandemic, their performance would improve exponentially through enhanced patient care, better working experiences and cost-saving measures. Opaque tights are the easiest option to be stylish with this tricky mix. ![]() ✓ tights with a noticeable seam: sure you spotted it. Tights and open-toes evoke fashion fashion and refinement. Note that the Bircks and tights pairing that we saw the years before IS NOT good looking (at least to my taste) even if some ladies got streetstyled for this. Maybe in the future some genius stylist will come with such a combo that will look stylish. And if there’s any issue, Sheertex maintains a 90-day guarantee-the better part of, say, a Northeast winter. “They seem like they could survive an atom bomb,” one tester said. During my last-line-of-defense brick-and-zipper test, the Sheertex tights performed the best, with no visible damage at all. And when we scratched them with our fingernails, nary a mark was left. The tights didn’t snag on one tester’s cracked, callused heels. Why they’re great: Sheertex’s marketing materials boast that these tights are made from patented, “ballistic grade fibers.” We approached this claim with a healthy skepticism, but this pair impressed us. ![]() We took care to proof the document frequently in order to constantly observe the opportunity that scale and pagination might offer us to better-express our design sentiments through a hand-held experience. The Edge SE gets a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wi-fi hotspot, active safety features (covered above), 18-inch wheels, cloth upholstery, and dual-zone climate control. A 12-inch touchscreen gives us the tech monolith to distract us from all that for a while, but in the Edge ST it’s not enough to justify the steep price.įord offers the Edge in SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST trims with a handful of options scattered into the mix. The basic design for the Edge’s interior dates back more than a decade by now and it shows in the round knobs and basic shapes. Inside, the Edge is appointed well with quality materials that feel good but are also old. (Last year’s kick-open power liftgate was scrapped for this year.) The space is easily accessible with a power liftgate that’s optional on SEL and standard on higher trims. The leg room is fine at more than 40 inches, but the seats are awkwardly shaped.īehind the second row is 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to 73.4 cubes with the seats folded flat. Row two is mostly comfortable for three adults around town, although longer trips may require everyone is friend-zone-or-higher familiarity. Driver and passenger seats are power-adjustable and heated in SEL trims and higher. Spend up trims such as the Titanium and ST get more supportive thrones, but that’s after you’ve crossed the $40,000 threshold. Starting up front, the Edge is equipped in base models with cloth seats that aren’t only uncomfortable, they’re also flat. Properly equipped, the Edge can tow up to 3,500 pounds, which should be enough for small toys or a camper. The ST is shod with 20- or 21-inch wheels, which stiffens the ride considerably.Īt a more relaxed pace in the base model, the Edge is quiet and comfortable, which is more in line with its mission. The ST can hit 60 mph in less than six seconds, and its revised steering, suspension, and available performance brakes can confidently handle just about any curvy road. The Edge ST gets a 335-hp 2.7-liter V-6 (rated on 93 octane, again) that shuttles power to all four wheels via the same 8-speed. It tracks easily down highways and smothers uneven roads well, but tall wheels can harsh the Edge’s ride. The standard Edge rides on a four-wheel independent suspension that controls body motions well and its steering is precise. It’s hardly fast at about eight seconds to 60 mph, but it’s plenty of power for what’s an around-town crossover anyway. The Ford Edge is assembled in Oakville, Ontario.Īll-wheel drive is available on all Edge models, and it’s standard on the Edge ST with a V-6.īase Edge crossovers tap a 2.0-liter turbo-4 for power that makes 250 hp (rated on 93 octane, which isn’t very common), which is shipped to the front or all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic. The Edge Titanium is on the bleeding edge with a 12-inch vertically oriented touchscreen if that’s what you’re looking for. Top spec Edge ST versions ring in at more than $44,000 for power, grippy cloth fabric, and big 21-inch wheels. ![]() We’d step one level higher to the Edge SEL for its synthetic leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and better options for about $36,500. The Edge SE checks in with a low price tag below $33,000 with front-wheel drive, which is a relative steal. Automatic emergency braking and active lane control are standard on all models. It earned a five-star overall rating by federal testers and a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS. Its safety scores are up-to-date, and then some more. The Edge’s basic design dates back more than a decade, and it shows. Same goes for interior materials, where the Edge starts to show its relative age compared to other two-row crossovers. The Edge offers similar stretch-out space to competitors-more than 40 inches of leg room in the second row-but the seats aren’t as comfortable as rivals in its class. Inside, five adults will fit for short- to medium-length trips. All-wheel drive is standard on the ST, mostly to help put its power to the pavement. The Edge ST returns with a 335-hp 2.7-liter V-6 that’s impressive in its might, even if it’s a little overpowered for the relatively pedestrian crossover. All-wheel drive is optional on every trim level with a turbo-4. Front-wheel drive is standard on all cars equipped with a turbo-4, and an 8-speed automatic handles shifting detail. The 2021 Ford Edge is available in SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST trim levels.Ī 2.0-liter turbo-4 that makes 250 horsepower is standard on all trims below the top Edge ST. 10/23/2023 0 Comments Stop motion animation![]() ![]() ![]() This type of stop motion animation involves working with people, as you will be animating the movements of one or more actors one frame at the time. Even so, you will have a broad range of props at your disposal which can give you a lot of versatility during the production stage of your project. This is by no means an easy task, because it may take you a lot of time before you can start shooting your video. Basically, you need to build your entire scenography and the characters in your movie out of Lego bricks, and then change their on-screen positions from one frame to the other. However, this movie was created using computer graphics, so don’t expect to achieve the same results on your first try. If you have seen the Lego Movie you already know the potential Lego bricks offer to animators. Creating the entire scenography and the characters for clay animation movies is incredibly difficult, which is the reason why novice animators must have an advanced set of clay modeling skills in order to be able to use this stop motion animation technique effectively. However, clay isn’t the only material that can be used to create these animations, as animators often make puppets out of plasticine and other similar materials.Ĭlay animation is regularly used to create cartoons, although it is relatively easy to find music videos and TV shows that are made using this technique. Clay AnimationĪs its name indicates, this type of stop motion animation involves animating figurines and objects made out of clay. Rigging is commonly used to solve this issue because it enables the animator to have complete control of the object’s movement, although removing the rig from the shot is going to require some additional work in the post-production. One of the greatest challenges of object animation is to simulate flying or bouncing off the objects in the shot since it is difficult to control their movement. Moreover, this type of stop motion animation is often combined with other types of animation techniques. Object animation is frequently used in tutorials, commercials or videos that are used for a broad range of purposes. Object AnimationĪny object such as a pair of scissors or a toy can be used as the object that is being animated, as long as it fits the story you are trying to tell. So, here are the ten most common types of stop motion animation. However, the process of making a stop motion animation is always the same, regardless of the material used to create the objects or the characters in the movie. The materials used to create the objects depicted in the stop motion animation are used to differentiate between different types of stop motion animation. Consequently, creating a stop motion animation is always a slow process that can take weeks and even months to complete, as even the slightest movement must be photographed before you can proceed to the next one. The exact amount of frames per second depends on the video and it can vary from just 12 to 60. ![]() In this manner, the animator creates the illusion of movement, as each frame contains a slightly altered position of the objects in the shot. In stop motion animation, the animator doesn’t draw but rather takes pictures of figures and objects and changes their position between the shots. Traditional animation involves drawing or painting on transparent celluloid sheets that are later photographed or filmed and arranged in a sequence in order to simulate movement. How is Stop Motion Animation Different from Other Types of Animation? So in this article, we are going to take a closer look at different types of stop motion animations. In the age of digital cameras and powerful video editing software products making a stop motion animation isn’t as difficult as it was only a few decades ago. Stop motion animation has been used since the early years of cinema, but it wasn’t until the 1960s that authors started using stop motion animation to create entire movies. Each of them brought a unique visual style that enriched the world of cinema and inspired new generations. The first animated movie was created a little over a century ago, and since that time we’ve seen the emergence of so many different animation techniques. 10/22/2023 0 Comments Pitch out swing and miss![]() However, a batter that hits the ball solidly won't be out unless the ball is caught.įoul balls are another matter, and it is fairness again. A batter that endlessly swings foul tips would get pretty boring if it didn't get called a strike. The fariness of the rule is also for the team in the field. A foul tip can put yhr batter out if it happens with 2 strikes against the batter. So the foul tip really is considered a swing an a miss, or a strike. It is like this in baseball where a tip is considered a strike:: It would be like this if a tipped ball was considered in play: Jus think, a swing tht misses be a 1/16 inch is a strike, but a swing that is an 1/8 of inch different should be an out? Not really fair. But if it is tipped and goes straight to the glove of the catcher it would be disproportinate to call it an out. If he hits he has a chance to get on base. If a player swings and misses it is a strike. I think it is for fairness to the players. I think the answer to the original question might be better put if the reason for the rule were considered, rather than the rule itself. It's one of those game within the game calls that make it so interesting.Ĭomments for WHY IS A FOUL TIP INTO THE CATCHER'S GLOVE NOT CONSIDERED AN OUT? The distinction between a foul ball and a foul tip is the key to this head scratching situation, of which there are many within the game of baseball. More often than not, that tip gets turned into a foul ball because it is not caught. The second example happens often, the first rarely, as foul tips are hard to come by. Foul ball, dead ball, the runner has to come back to first. With the exact same situation but this time the batter tips the ball, which hits the catcher but he doesn't catch it. The catcher could throw out the runner, or the runner could steal second, either is possible. The offense has the hit and run on, the runner goes on the pitch, the batter swings and foul tips the ball into the catchers glove, and he catches it. ![]() Say you have a runner on first base, the batter has less than two strikes on him. If there were a runner or runners on base, they could advance on the play. ![]() The situation in your question, with the count 3-1, if the catcher catches it, it becomes strike two. If it is strike three, it is a strikeout. If it is strike one, or two, runners can steal or advance, as the ball is still in play, not foul. Any ball swung at and lightly contacted, if not caught by the catcher, becomes a foul ball.Īny foul tip that is caught is a strike, and the ball is in play. The ball has to be caught by the catcher to be a foul tip. The answer lies in the technical aspects distinguishing a foul tip, from a foul ball. I've noticed that if the catcher catches a foul tip.say on 3 balls and 1 strike. The batter is not out, why is that? If you catch a foul ball the runner is out no matter what the pitch count. 10/22/2023 0 Comments Simple human trashm canSome applicants may receive a higher or lower regular annual rate depending on a credit evaluation.
